Education
My formal training is in telecommunication engineering, with graduate research that increasingly focused on machine learning, signal processing, and computational neuroscience.

Neural Correlates of Spatial Frequency Representation of Objects in the Primate Visual System
This work studied how spatial frequency information is represented in the primate visual system, particularly in the inferior temporal cortex. Using extracellular recordings from macaque monkeys, I investigated how coarse and fine visual information contribute to object representation and category coding in higher visual areas.

Combination of Classifiers Based on Information Theoretic Models
This thesis addressed classifier selection in ensemble learning using an information-theoretic framework. The proposed method considered both the magnitude and distribution of errors to select a smaller and more effective subset of classifiers, and it was later applied to steganalysis with improved accuracy and faster prediction.

Text Detection in the Wild
My undergraduate thesis focused on detecting text in natural scene images, introducing me to computer vision, image processing, and real-world visual recognition problems under unconstrained conditions.
